Privacy policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026. The short version: no accounts, nothing you type into a calculator leaves your browser, and we never sell personal data.

What the calculators collect: nothing

All WattLong calculators run entirely in your browser. The appliances, wattages, and settings you enter are never transmitted to us or anyone else, and there is no account, sign-up, or login anywhere on this site.

What is collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operations. If we enable privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics in the future, this policy will be updated first; we do not use advertising trackers or cross-site tracking cookies.

Cookies

WattLong sets no cookies of its own. Third-party pages you reach through outbound or affiliate links have their own cookie practices, described in their policies.

Contact form

If you write to us through the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide, solely to respond. We do not add you to a mailing list and do not sell or rent contact information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information about you. Since we hold almost none, the practical route is the contact page: ask, and we will confirm what exists and delete it on request.

Children

This site is a tool for adults planning backup power; it is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be posted on this page with a new date.
